Matthew Copeland is currently a graduate student at CSU, Chico completing a Master's certificate in Music, as well as a double Bachelor's certificate in Recording Arts/Music Industry. As his programs are nearing completion, he is adamantly pursuing professional opportunities in audio production. Matthew has a firm base of knowledge and a tangible, multi-faceted skill set: traits essential to his trade. His educational and personal studies, coupled with relevant work experience have given him a sound understanding of good recording practices, room acoustics, and microphone techniques. Comfortable with both software applications and hardware devices, Matthew has experience with multiple DAWs, MIDI sequencing, audio/visual SMPTE synchronization, ADR, Foley, surround mixing and sample-accurate editing. Matthew is also a musician and a composer, giving him perspective in the studio and creativity when manipulating sound. Above all, Matthew operates well as both a team player and a self-motivated individual. He is always willing to learn, and confident in his ability to overcome challenges and master new concepts.
